It's almost good.
The pros: It has a lot of potential. The cons: Support is poor. Documentation is vague. Can't even turn it off without downloading widget after widget. It may be something I turn back to in the future but I think I'll give it a few years first.

I am def. continue working with this app. It works great out of the box. It takes a little getting used to but if you know css and basic php you can polish real nice
Good but unclear
I am uninstalling this app after having a great exp with it. Then for some reason it stopped playing nice and after reading a special linux directory needed to be created with the install I decided this must of been the issue. I am going to give it another chance. Works great for a simple but full introduction site to your content
Worth it
It's not the easiest for those who don't know php as myself though I have managed to get a half decent site up and running thanks to the variety of plugins and the help on the Elgg community site. I admit that at times it is not easy though it has been worth it.
