Easy install ... something different
Worked great for me. I liked the look and its not Wordpress like everyone else has.
Horrible.
Worst blog program I have come across so far. If you want any kind of custom template, good luck. Errors galore with even the slightest change. I cannot overestimate my dislike of this program.
Good, but...
This is very good, easy to use and set up. You can get started in just minutes and it looks fine. The reason I only gave this two stars, is when you compare it to other products. You can do a LOT more with Wordpress and it is just as easy to use. So if you want a straight forward blog on windows, then use this. If you want to customize even just a little, then go for Wordpress or something else.
Not for the faint of heart!
dasBlog has been around for a long time and I have used it for nearly 6 years now as my blog engine of choice. That said, I do think it is less friendly for non-developers to use, because there are issues that may crop up with it that require someone with ASP.NET experience in order to really solve them quickly. I think this blog engine offers a lot of power, but BlogEngine.NET is probably the better way to go for *most* people.
Pretty Easy, but worthless
This product is pretty easy to set up. But alot of the configurations don't work properly. Example is the SMTP email notification. This feature does not work under any configuration. The errors given are cryptic and worthless. The online support community for this product is worthless too. Save yourself some headache, go with another choice.
