Big fan of Tandem Server
I have been using Tandem Server since 2006 and it has always been free. There is only a “full” version with no page restrictions. If anyone has any questions regarding Tandem Server please visit http://tandemserver.org/forum.

Not great, but not bad
It works which is a start. Easy to install once you get past the error messages. Would like to see more features. This is really just a simple content editor and nothing more. No forum, blog etc. There is a photo gallery which is ehh so so.

Easy to use and well designed
This system is well thought out i think. It's very easy to create and publish content to your website. Most website builders tend to over complicate the process of managing your website which is good / necessary for complicated websites but if you want something geared down / simplified then Tandem Server is the way to go.

Great for basic sites
Most of the other Content Managers are very complex to configure. You need to learn how to setup a complex template/skin and apply it. If you have a basic website you probably dont have the time to do that. The software also as and AJAX editor, so setting up a page is straight forward. One of my users was able to add a page with no coaching from me, a photo galary no less. As long as you are ok with a basic site (Title, Toolbar, content, footer) this is the tool for you. Best thing is its not SQL based so it doesn't tie up a database.
