quick but no wysiwyg
speedy little app, not hard to install or set up but in an environment being used by non-tech people, not appropriate because average user will not be able to format their articles correctly unless you can make some kind of wysiwyg work (i could not).

This is an EXCELLENT WIKI.. It is worth your time!
PMWiki is exceptional. I've wrestled with MediaWiki for years. Based upon it's reviews, I figured it must be a superior product. I was wrong. PMWiki is Exceptional. It is head and shoulders above MediaWiki in ease of setup, configuration, and use. PMWiki has a strong active user base who create wonderful skins and generally add another layer of "support". BRAVO. I finally have a solid platform for my Wiki's ... The only bad thing about PMWiki is that it is so much better than MediaWiki that I feel honor bound to replace each instance of MediaWiki I have with PMWiki. To the developers and active user base... THANK YOU!!!!

100% satisfied
The syntax is powerful, it loads fast, installation was painless. No complaints. Sure, other wiki tools may be more extensible, or have a wider range of uses, but, if you want a wiki for a wiki, it works fine. 100% satisfied with pmwiki. I have a dokuwiki elsewhere, which I also dig, and think should be an option here, which has more plugins, such as for blogging, embedding rss feeds, etc. You could build an entire site with doku, but, on the whole, is not as mature as pmwiki, as I see it. Better, imho, to use pmwiki for a wiki, wordpress or blazeblogger for blogging. It works great for a Wiki, which is what I use it for, so, I'm satisfied.

Works well enough - requires some effort and research
found this fun to work with ... some effort required not going to just happen for you but has a lot of potential - It is a free app and as such you will need to work on it ... some of the skins are a bit ordinary and you will need to write back to some of your files ... not what I wanted but still worth the effort. 3/5

really unintuitive
installed it but could not get it up and working. Granted I only spent 10 min on it but really, I am looking for something easier.
