Installation failed three times
I tied to install this 3 times - not to the main domain but to 2 different associated domains. Don't bother unless maybe it works on the main domain. The program itself is fine and working well on another host (It does need some work to get it going though.) PMwiki worked first time. I don't think it as powerful as mediawiki, but it works.

Industry Standard
There are other sweet interpretations of wiki, but if you have a large audience from alkl over the world, you cannot go wrong with mediawiki. Best overall 3rd party support / extensions, tutorials and more users know it than any other wiki/

Easy setup, works perfectly as a private Wiki
I don't know what previous reviewers are talking about: this package can easily be configured as a private Wiki, by just changing a few lines in LocalSettings.php (see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Preventing_access). Maybe GoDaddy installation process used to be wrong a few months ago. There is still one setting that is wrong by default: you'll need to secure the access to LocalSettings.php from public view (was 604 by default, make it 600). You can even have a few pages publicly visible, to make a semi-private wiki, even though this is not something this package was really designed for (probably more secure to have two separate installs for that, one public, one private). So far, this does everything I need or more, without doing any PHP tricks or lengthy customization. Perfect 5 stars.

Easy to learn for tech savvy beginners.
I've never programmed or coded anything, haven't even created a website. I was able to create a fully functioning wiki in a couple of weeks from the online resources available. Setup took a little under 24 hours through GoDaddy.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS WIKI
Save yourself a lot of heartache and do not waste your time with MediaWiki. While it may have a long history and more reviews, the documentation, support, and overall functionality of this Wiki is not as good as PMWiki. I've fought with MediaWiki on several of my sites. As bad as it was, I never tried the other products because the (MUST BE OLD REVIEWS) reviews of MediaWiki were better. Save yourself a lot of heartache and opt for PMWiki. PMWiki is effortless to use, has a large active user base and lots and lots of easy to implement skins etc.
