Great Software, poorly understood by Go Daddy
I have a decently large collection of photographs from a local weekly car show and have been using gallery running on a GB server for the last three years. The one single issue that I have is that the software creates caches to reduce the server load. This then leads to multiple folders with more than 1024 files in them (the caches files). network support then issues you with a network violation and you are forced to clear up the mess that they leave (permissions, missing files etc) to re-instate the gallery. When you have 42,000 images in your gallery, this is a fairly time consuming task. The software is very easy to configure and has many facilities to allow almost anyone to share and even sell photographs on line. Gallery is a brilliant product. I just wish that GD network services understood it a lot more than they currently do.
Nice app... if you can get it set up right
It's a complex program, not very user friendly, and an absolute nightmare to integrate it into a CMS such as Drupal. It has nice features but I think it's a diamond in the rough at this point. :)
Best I've ever used
It's simple, works very well and has loads of plugins. The only down side is that godaddy restricts some of them like not having ffmpeg on their server for streaming a small video. As for the multiple file upload. I upload entire albums in one go so not sure why people seem to have problems with it?

Simple, but needs an easier multiple file upload.
Nice product. Really intuitive to configure. Just needs a better multiple file upload. For instance, a flash / ajax upload scheme that I can select 40 files to upload to a gallery. Again, nice product, just didn't meet my needs.
