Difficult to Manually Install, Easy through GoDaddy Connection?
I installed BlogEngine.Net (version 1.1) manually a couple months ago and it took some work. Honestly, I'm not an experienced server admin and I know enough about ASP.Net to get myself in trouble (which isn't required at all to work with BlogEngine.Net, but I do like to tinker), but I got it working. Then, I tried to update to 1.2 (again, manually) and broke it. So, I'm trying it through GoDaddy connection (which wasn't offered before) to see if it's any easier. My biggest question now is whether the software will be updated soon, because 1.3 is available as of this writing (Jan. 4th, 2008).
Over all, I like BlogEngine.Net. I wish the GoDaddy Connection setup gave an option for XML instead of using a DB (XML is the default setup normaly), but I guess I'll live. Just have to order another DB or use Amazon.

1.3 is now available and the install of 1.2 went great. Thanks GoDaddy!

Simply Good
A very simple blogging program, I did have a few hiccups during the install however as a blogging engine for .net, its pretty good. I did experience a bug with attaching pictures but other than that I have no complaints.

Great for light blogging
I use this for a personal blog (hosted elsewhere) to keep my family in another state up-to-date on what we are doing at the same time recording things for the future - it works perfectly! Very good blogging engine. I use dasBlog for heavier stuff, and it would be nice if GoDaddy would provide that eventually too - it is a *really* rich blogging engine.
